Kathren booked the Yellow Water Cruise (Cooinda) for the 9am
tour and saw broad expanses of wetland. Sighted many birds she had not seen
before and several crocs. Took pics of a female croc swimming and the large
male croc sunning on the bank. After a coffee stop and shop for provisions at
Cooinda Lodge, we headed for Jim Jim Billabong for lunch. Then to Nourlangie
Rock where Kathren walk around Anbangbang Billabong at the base of the rock and
I climbed on the 12km bushwalk that forms a loop through the saddle in the
middle of the rock and around the western side and back to carpark. Great views
from the top of the saddle. Rock art sites are seen around the bottom sections
of track. We motored from there to Mary River Roadhouse (Goymar Tourist Park)
but arrived too late (730) to find anyone in the shop. A hunt around the
buildings found the manager and she let us in. No problem finding space and
power. Pretty basic tourist park. Garmin Connect link http://connect.garmin.com/activity/195858017
