This was probably our most enjoyable bushwalk, as it took us from the Cultural/Visitors Centre at Nitmiluk (bottom of gorge) up to Pat’s Lookout and the Southern Rockhole, It was hot walking across the rock plateau, and a refreshing dip in the rock hole was just what we needed before walking back down to the Centre. The view on the top of the Gorge was spectacular. Saw quite of few different birds along the way. The return walk was hot, and we found another lookout closer to the end of the gorge before dropping down a series of stone steps to the river and picnic area. This centre is quite modern and had complimentary internet Wi-Fi for lodge guests. The campgrounds were packed out so we luck to find a site (unpowered).
